Finding Great Joy in the Faithfulness of God

Each morning, I pray before my feet hit the floor.....

Lord, give me a revelation of You!

I have 10 blog posts in the waiting, so I ALMOST thought that the Lord would just have me use one  that I had already started.  But I felt like I should take a quick walk through the garden to see if He had something specific for today.

As I was pinching the suckers off of one of my tomato plants, I caught a shimmer out of the corner of my eye.....

BRIGHT, SHIMMERING, GLORIOUS!  A dragonfly perched underneath the leaves resting in the early morning sun!

I smile with delight, knowing full well that God, once again, has been so faithful to provide!

How often do we go through our lives, not seeing our gloriously faithful Father? We busy ourselves with the tasks of the day, and readily go to work with the activities of the day in our own strength, not realizing that God delights in showing us, very specifically His faithful provision for our lives.

We not only fail to see His faithfulness but fail to thank Him!

God's desire is that we know Him.  The whole point of Jesus' death on the cross for our sin was so that we could be reconciled to the Father!  He desires to talk to us and show us His BRIGHT, SHIMMERING and GLORIOUS countenance!

As I looked up this morning I saw His faithfulness in the seemingly most insignificant way.  We need to ask the Lord to open our eyes to see the wonders of who He is and how He loves us.

Often times the lens of our spirits are clouded by the cares of this world.   We need our spiritual eyes like the dragon fly.

Dragon flies have 30,000 facets that allow them to have a different perspective of the world around them.

They have specialized sensory cells that allow them to see color in a multifaceted manner as they are able to perceive a variety of wavelengths from their upward pointing eyes and downward pointing eyes.

This creates a mosaic of overlapping images......WOW!  We need that kind of vision for God.  A supernatural ability to see things that others miss!  Lord help us to see you more clearly today!

As we read the word of God we have access to see Him for who He is.  We are blessed to have the word of God at our very fingertips.  What good will it do us if we do not read it?  How will we see Him in the mundane.  How will we know Him during our struggles unless we have seen His faithfulness throughout all generations?

Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in Your instruction
Psalm 119:18 NLT

The Bible shows us very clearly the faithfulness of God.  Our very lives are a testimony to God's faithfulness!

We are to show forth His glory, feeding on His faithfulness and declaring to all what we see!  Let us not be silent but ask Him to show us His glory and allow Him to speak to the eyes of our hearts and reveal to us His faithfulness in a multifaceted manner!
