He Is Watching and Waiting for Us to Search Him Out!

I was unaware of this developing fruit just like we are unaware of the presence of the Lord in our lives.
We are fully known by our God. He delights in us without us even being aware.
Song of Solomon 2:9
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, there he stands behind our wall, gazing through the lattice.
The Lord watches over our lives and He sees our actions and our thoughts. He is standing behind our wall, gazing through the lattice. We are weak in our perception of His ever-present gaze over our lives.
I Corinthians 13:12
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
Many times we feel alone in our lives but we are never alone. Our feelings, although real to us are not necessarily truth. The truth is that God delights in His people and rejoices over us with singing!
Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your god is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Get ahold of this truth today! God finds pleasure in you! He is celebrating over you today!
Do we see Him? No! Often times I tell the Lord that I don't like that He is invisible however, Jesus himself said that he must leave so that we would be empowered by the Holy Spirit!
Jesus himself said, in John 16:7
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth:
it is to your advantage that I go away,
for if I do not go away,
the Helper will not come to you.
But if I go, I will send him to you.
Jesus goes on in John 16 to tell his disciples that although they will weep and mourn when they cannot see him but there was a purpose behind his leaving and eventually, their sorrow would be turned to joy!
We will feel anguish, sorrow and distress in this world but we are not alone! God is with us and we will partake in everlasting joy when He returns! What a great hope we have even in the midst of great despair or uncertainty.
Jesus goes on to encourage us that whatever we ask of the Father in His name, he will give it to us.
And He wants us to ask so that we receive and that our joy would be full!
He wants us to be full of joy!
In His divine wisdom and glory Jesus hides behind the lattice, peering out at us while we seemingly tumble through the garden of our lives but He is not inactive or distant as some may feel.
He is watching and waiting for us to discover His gaze!
Proverbs 25:2 shows us God's desire for us to search for Him so that we can partake in His infinite glory
It is the glory of God to conceal things,
but the glory of kings is to search things out.
Jeremiah 29:13 says that if we seek Him with our all of our hearts we will find Him!
So even though I am frustrated at times that I serve and invisible God, I see throughout scripture this call to seek Him out!
John was invited to come up and partake in the mystery of things to come and so are we!
What are we going to do with this invitation? Are we going to sit back and continue to think wrongly of God? Are we going to believe the lies of the enemy that He does not hear our prayers?
His word is available to us to search Him out! He IS the word! As we enter into the secret place with him we can tap into the vine, just like the cucumber that swelled with water, while hidden behind the lattice. We too can be filled by His spirit and His word as we seek Him out in His word!
Father, help us to be aware of Your loving gaze over our lives. We are so prone to be influenced by our feelings as we are a fickle people. We ask that you would give us a desire to search You out in Your word and to ask and seek so that we can find You. This divine game of hide and seek is difficult and arduous but You delight in the chase so let us never stop looking for You and give us an eternal perspective that this will not be our lot for all of eternity and truthfully this physical separation is for our good and Your glory!
Give us the desire to grope for you Lord so that we will grow and ripen in Your hidden sanctuary!
