We Are Precious to the Lord

I recently communicated with someone I follow on Instagram about a picture that He posted of his daughter.  He will sometimes take pictures of his daughter with their falcons as he is teaching her to be a falconer.

My response to this picture was one of delight as I looked down at the image, I thought about how my heavenly Father thinks that I am precious and He delights in me as His daughter.

We are precious in the sight of God, not of our own doing but because of the precious blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

Our Heavenly Father looks at us as:
costly, excellent, bright, clear, splendid, gloriously influential men and woman!

Ephesians 2:10 says;
For we his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.

God has given much thought of how He will be glorified through our lives.  He is our husbandman that waits for the precious fruit of the earth and He is longsuffering.

Revelation 21:11 speaks of His glory being displayed by His bride, the Holy city of Jerusalem

... having the glory of God,
its radiance like a most rare jewel,
like a jasper, clear as crystal.

The Lord is waiting for the precious fruit of the earth, the Bride of His adorning to come to her fullness through Christ so that His glory will  be shown through her like a rare and radiant gem!

Our lives are part of His story.  We have good work to walk in while we are here on the earth.  God has ordained our lives for His glory and His desire is to use us to bring in the precious fruit of the earth for He is the great husbandman in the sky.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise
as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,
not wishing that any should perish,
but that all should reach repentance.

Peter goes on to encourage us that we must be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.

We must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we are to be presented to Him as a His bride in whom He finds delight!

Our voices should be heard proclaiming the excellencies of Christ!  I love how the Lord speaks in Jeremiah 33:11 of His intention for the once desolate city of God to become inhabited by the praise of His people.

... there shall be heard again the voice of mirth
and the voice of gladness,
the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride,
the voices of those who sing,
as the bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD:
"Give thanks to the LORD of hosts,
for the LORD is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!"

These are a people that KNOW that God loves and delights in them!  We need to realize that we are precious in His sight.

We are God's children and He delights in us like that father on Instagram delights over his daughter as he teaches her his ways, so our Heavenly Father delights over us but even more!

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

Father, give us a revelation of Your love for us today.  Help us to know that you are rejoicing over us with gladness because when You look at us You see Jesus and Your delight is in Him and He is in us!

We thank you that you are longsuffering not will that any should perish and we ask that You would use us mightily to bring in the precious fruit of the earth through our lives bringing glory and honor to Your name.

It is all for You Lord!  We are your children and we long to see the delight on Your face!
