Lord, Establish the Work of My Hands

As I lay in bed this morning, I was aware of every inch of my body as the pain demanded that I get up out of bed.
My hands have been so sore from all the work done in the previous weeks.
I ask the Lord to establish the work of my hands as I drag myself out of bed.
Psalm 90:16-17
Let your work be shown to your servants and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes establish the work of our hands!
Let your work be shown to your servants and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes establish the work of our hands!
I know that even though we are called to do the hard work of weeding our own hearts, amending our souls and planting seeds, it is the Lord that does the work through us.
We were never meant to do His work alone. We are called to do His work together and by the power of His Spirit.
I Corinthians 3:6-9
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.

This allows me to rest in His provision for my life in the area of my own growth and in the growth of the church. Some plant, some water but God does the growing. We work together for God. Not for our own kingdom but so that HIS work and HIS glorious power will be shown to our children!
The good news is that our rest is in God and His completed work. Let us sit back and survey the wonderful work that He has done as He establishes the work of our hands.
