Lord, I Want to be Gentle and Tender in my Speech

Deuteronomey 32:2
I have a tendency to say things as I see them and at times it may seem abrupt or even harsh.
I know its my pride and realize more and more my need for God to help me in the area of my speech.
However, I also know that God often times uses me to say tough things that need to be said.
I want to be in His will, I want to speak only what and how He would have me speak and I can see how gentleness in speech can have a positive effect on the hearer if it is guided by the Spirit.
My days seem to be filled with God directing me to speak to people,
So, I continue to pray as I walk through my days that I would speak with thoughtfulness and wisdom, for more of His grace and gentleness in the words that I do speak, and that my words would be seasoned with salt so that I would know how to answer everyone.
After all, the word of God tells us that if we gently instruct those that oppose the truth, that perhaps God will change their hearts and they will learn the truth as a result!
II Timothy 2:24-26
And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

I want that! My desire is to bring people into truth by the words I say. Whether that means the truth about who He is to someone who doubts His goodness or speaking truth in love to someone who is deceived in their hearts and minds.
I want to gently instruct those who oppose the truth in order to see them come know Him, the truth.
What an extraordinary privilege!
